On 8th February 2017 Balkania held a presentation related with the Activity 3 Equality in sports under the project Sport for All.

The presentation of BALKANIA was held at the secondary school for children with disabilities “Sv. NaumOhridski” – Skopje where the main subject was promoting sport as a way in which people with disabilities or people that face disadvantages can improve their health, well-being and quality of life. The main goal was to promote sport as a tool that doesn’t just offer physical advantages but it provides a platform for acquiring life skills which is especially important for people with disabilities as they may not feel as connected and integrated in society. Sport activities should be adapted so they can enable disabled people to take part in sport in their everyday life and therefore improve their overall state. Students of different ages and different disabilities attended the presentation as well as a great part of the staff of the school.

Place: DSU “Sv. NaumOhridski” – Skopje
