BALKANIA is an association for Balkan Alternative Tourism and its activities include realization of projects in the field of alternative tourism which enable the promotion of Macedonia and the entire Balkan region as an attractive tourist destination with exceptional natural, historical, cultural and anthropological heritage. In addition to that, it focuses on projects and activities that help foster human capacity development in the field of tourism.

Round Table in Pehchevo under the project:”SPORT FOR ALL”

 

DEAR FRIENDS,

BALKANIA representatives will organize a Round Table event under the project:”SPORT FOR ALL”, coordinated by THE BULGARIAN SPORTS FEDERATION FOR CHILDREN DEPRIVED FROM PARENTAL CARE.

THE PROJECT MAIN GOAL IS TO FACILITATE collaboration among various institutions and NGOs at EU level for sports as means for social inclusion and accessible sports.

The Round table is part of A5.T1:

ACTIVITY 5. STAKEHOLDERS FOR SPORTS

The main goal of this activity is to raise the public institutions awareness on sport and physical activities as an effective instrument for improving the social capital of the EU. Sport is probably the only one and universal instrument that can change the health for the better and improve the professional results to young and adults, rich and poor, disadvantaged and lucky.

In the current economic, social and ecological crisis partnerships – for  innovation, effective and cross-sectural activities are of utmost importance. Disadvantages, youth at risk, poverty, aggression and discrimination – are issues typical for us all – and smart partnerships for sport can be valuable tool for solving them. /T1/ In addition the activity aims to contribute to the effective information campaign of the project.

 

T1. Transnational collaboration – SMART SPORTS COLLABORATION ROUND TABLES:

Main target groups: experts from local, national and regional authorities, and public institutions – schools, kindergardens, hospitals, social care institutions and NGOs active in all spheres of social, economic and ecology issues/, representatives of associations and etc. so as the interdisciplinary approach to be encouraged, as well as brainstorming for joint crosssectural initiatives involving more sports and physical activities.

Very intensive and provocative training and discussions, aiming to reflect the various positive aspects of sports for the individual personal and professional wellbeing and moreover as an instrument supporting achieving the EU 2020 strategic priorities for competitive economy, the

inclusive society and active citizenship. Each event will present via innovative approaches and ice-breakers the sport added value in these respects and will aim to finish with specific joint activities for – collaboration for more sport and physical activities/for youth, adults,

professional sectors and etc.

The participants will be selected – so as to be motivated to think innovatively, experience will mix with enthusiasm and etc. The accent will be on participating organizations that have mature ideas for sport events/or conduct such. Medias and public bodies representatives are

welcome. They will delieberately be mixed with NGOs, or other stakeholders and experts from other spheres in match-making sessions. The partcicpants will be encouraged to think in the new perspective, to share expertise and receive other opinions. Stakeholders with projects

involving at least 2 from the partnering countries will be encouraged to partcicpate. With the help of the partnering experts – that will organize, but also train – the transnational potential of the project ideas and initiatives will be analyzed and developed. Possible partnerships may

evolve among the participants but also among the partcicpants and the partner organizations.

The projects encouraged will promote the sport various positive aspects for all spheres of personal, professional and community life, and will encourage good governance of sport, effective planning and coordination of more projects and initiatives for sport and physical

activities – for young and adults, and more inclusive to people with disadvantages from any kind and at any age.

 

Our first SMART SPORTS COLLABORATION ROUND TABLE will be conducted in Municipality of Pehchevo, Macedonia on 14.07.2016 at  Hotel Gogov in Pehchevo.

 

As a part of A5.T1. other round tables will be held in the participating countries: Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey.
